Letter № 01 · On this house

A holding company,
not a fund:
we keep the companies.

We do not dress them for sale. Written from a Caribbean beach, MMXXV.

If your default is hype cycles, quarterly optics, and an eventual exit story, this house will feel too slow. That is the point. the TEAL Companies exists so craft and long ownership stay louder than the market’s noise.

We are the parent behind a small set of ventures founded or co-founded by Ben Teal. Each company stays independent where it should, shared where it helps, and aligned on craft, durability, and treating customers like adults. Some will stay small forever, on purpose. Others will grow. None will be sold to pay for a yacht.

If you need a brochure that pretends we are a venture firm, close the tab. If this pace matches yours, write. If it doesn’t, you already know.

Faithfully,

Ben Teal

Founder & Proprietor

Ch. II

House principles.

  1. Long ownership over optics. We refuse exit theatre.

  2. Clear writing, decisions, invoices. Ambiguity is a cost center.

  3. We ship what we would use and sell what we would recommend.

  4. Hire slowly; part respectfully. Culture is an asset, not a slogan.

What we are not.

  • A venture fund
  • An incubator
  • A consulting practice
  • A personal brand
